CALLED MEETING
SEMINOLE COUNTY COURTHOUSE, MAIN COURTROOM, 2ND FLOOR
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2008
10:00 A.M.
The Seminole County Board of Commissioners held a called meeting to adpt the Millage rate for 2008. The meeting was held on Thursday, September 11, 2008 in the Superior Courtroom located on the second floor of the Seminole County Courthouse. Those present were Chairman Tommy Rogers, Vice-Chairman Alton Harrison, Commissioner Dell Shingler, County Administrator Marty Shingler and Clerk Donna Jones. Commission C. J. Hodge and Commissioner Scott Miller were absent.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tommy Rogers.
Commissioner Alton Harrison gave the invocation.
The item of business to be presented was the millage rates for 2008. Chairman Rogers read the millage rates as follows:

School Board 12.4470
Library .7450
County 13.4200
State .2500
Industrial Authority .2500
Total Millage 27.1120
This year’s rate is slightly lower than the 2007 rate of 27.140.
Chairman Rogers asked for questions or comments from the public. With no comments from the public, Chairman Rogers called for a motion.
Commissioner Alton Harrison made the motion to adopt the millage rate as read with Commissioner Dell Shingler providing the second. Motion passed.
Announcements:
Chairman Rogers announced that bids had been received for the Green Acres Road paving project. If there are no unseen delays, the paving project should begin in the near future.
Adjournment:
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned on a motion made by Commissioner Dell Shingler, seconded by Commissioner Alton Harrison with Chairman Tommy Rogers voting yes.
