INITIAL BUDGET WORK SESSION FOR  FY-11

SEMINOLE COUNTY COURTHOUSE, LAW LIBRARY

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 14, 2010

1:00 P.M.

The Seminole County Board of Commissioners held their Initial FY-11 Budget Work Session on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in the Courthouse Law Library located on the first floor of the Seminole County Courthouse. Those present were Chairman Tommy Rogers, Vice-Chairman Alton Harrison, Commissioner Dell Shingler, Commissioner Brenda Peterson, and Clerk Donna Jones. Commission Scott Miller was absent.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tommy Rogers.

This was the initial meeting for each department to present their budget requests for

FY 11.

Agencies and County Departments presenting budgets were:

Mental Health

Health Department

EMS

Chamber of Commerce

EMA/VFD

County Agent

Home Demonstration

Sr. Citizen’s Center

Health Services

Clerk of Court

Communications

Jail

Road department

School Resource Officer

Sheriff’s Department

Tax Assessor

Tax Commissioner

Due to time constraints, departments that were unable to present their budget requests will present at the next budget work session. No time was set for the next work session.

Other business discussed was to have the Airport Authority maintain the grounds at the airport, thereby, freeing up time and equipment for the Road department personnel to maintain roadsides.
