SEMINOLE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED MILLAGE INCREASE

SEMINOLE COUNTY COURTHOUSE, SUPERIOR COURTROOM

2ND FLOOR

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2ND, 2014

7:00 P.M.

The Seminole County Board of Commissioners held a Public Hearing on Thursday, October 2nd, 2014 in the Superior Courtroom.  Those present were Chairman Chuck Orrick, Commissioner Roger Lane, Commissioner Shelia Williams, and County Manager/Clerk Paula Granger.  Vice Chairman Peterson and Commissioner Culverson were absent.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Orrick.

The invocation was given by Commissioner Williams followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Sheriff Elliott and Mr. Richard Williams were in attendance, however no comments were made.

County Manager Granger reviewed the millage reports with the Board indicating an increase of .07 mills over the rollback rate of 13.63.  This increase keeps the millage the same as 2013.  Most taxpayers will not see any change in their taxes; however, reassessments may create an increase or decrease.

Adjournment:

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned on a motion by Commissioner Lane and a second by Commissioner Williams.  All in favor, motion passed.
