The Seminole County Board of Commissioners held a Called Meeting on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in the Law Library located on the first floor of the Courthouse. Those present were Chairman Roger Lane, Vice Chairman Shelia Williams, Commissioner Mark Spooner, Commissioner Brenda Peterson (participated by phone), Commissioner Darius Culverson, and County Manager/Clerk Paula Granger.
The purpose of the meeting was to select a provider for emergency medical services for Seminole County.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Lane.
The invocation was given by Vice Chairman Williams followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll call was conducted and a quorum was established.
Chairman Lane stated the purpose of the called meeting was to select a provider of emergency medical services for Seminole County. Two proposals for emergency medical services were submitted, one from Community Ambulance and the other from Grady Health Care. All members of the Board indicated they had read both proposals.
Chairman Lane stated he would entertain a motion to retain Community Ambulance to provide emergency medical services for FY18. A motion was provided by Vice Chairman Williams with a second by Commissioner Spooner. All in favor, motion passed.
County Manager Granger scheduled the first Budget Work Session on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 beginning at 1:00 p.m., prior to the Regular Monthly Meeting.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned on a motion by Commissioner Peterson and a second by Vice Chairman Williams. All in favor, motion passed.
