PUBLIC HEARING

SEMINOLE COUNTY COURTHOUSE, SECOND FLOOR, SUPERIOR COURTROOM

TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2017

6:00 P.M.

The Seminole County Board of Commissioners held a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in the Superior Courtroom located on the second floor of the Courthouse. Those present were Chairman Shelia Williams, Vice Chairman Brenda Peterson, Commissioner Mark Spooner, Commissioner Darius Culverson and County Manager/Clerk Paula Granger. Mr. Steve O’Neil, Planner II, from the Southwest Georgia Regional Commissioner and Donalsonville City Manager, Mr. Steven Hicks, were in attendance.

The purpose of the Public Hearing was to provide an opportunity for citizens to ask questions and provide comments regarding the 2017 Comprehensive Plan for Seminole County, Donalsonville, and Iron City.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Williams.

The invocation was given by Chairman Williams followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll call was conducted and a quorum was established.

Chairman Shelia Williams requested comments and questions regarding the 2017 Comprehensive Plan from those in attendance, none were made.

A motion to accept the Plan as written was given by Commissioner Culverson with a second by Commissioner Spooner. All in favor, motion passed.

Mr. O’Neil will send the Plan to the Regional Commission and the Department of Community Affairs for review.

A motion to adjourn was given by Vice Chairman Peterson with a second by Commissioner Culverson. All in favor, motion passed.
